Elects New Administration at its 60th Quadrennial Convention:
The Polish Roman Catholic Union of America held its 60th Quadrennial
Convention at the Hilton O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont Illinois from August 8
to 11, 2010. Now, the PRCUA looks forward to a new administration and
hopes that it will bring about a renewal of life insurance sales and a
reduction in costs. The PRCUA has served Polonia for 137 years and looks
forward to serving its members – in bigger and better ways - for many
more years to come.

PRCUA Junior Bowling Tournament:
The 2010 PRCUA Junior
Bowling Tournament was held on Saturday, June 19, at Stardust Lanes, in
Addison, IL. Around 70 children participated in this event; they were
cheered by proud parents, grandparents, friends as well as PRCUA National
Directors.

On April 23-25, 2010 the PRCUA 73rd Annual Bowling Tournament was held
in Plymouth, Michigan. The host was St. Stan's Society #718, who did a
fine job of hosting and organizing this event and made sure that
everyone attending enjoyed this tournament.

2010 Polish American Day Held at Six Flags Great America: On
Saturday, June 5th, Polish American Day was held at Six Flags Great
America Theme Park in Gurnee, Illinois. It is the largest theme park in
Illinois, with lots to see and do and definitely a lot of fun. This
event was sponsored by four Polish Fraternals and hosted by their Vice
Presidents:- PNA - Paul Odrobina, PWAA - Sharon Zago, Polish Falcons -
Robert Gorny and this event was chaired by PRCUA Resident Vice President
Anna Sokolowski.

PRCUA Declares a Net Gain: The PRCUA declares a
net gain from operations of $330,525 for the first quarter of 2010. This
is the first quarterly gain in this area since March 31, 2005. Reduction
in expenses over the last 12 months resulted in a positive change of
$640,318 from the first quarter of 2009.

The Polish Constitution Day Warszawa District is hosting a Polish
Constitution Day Program on Saturday, May 1, 2010 and Sunday, May 2,

Memorial Mass for President Kaczynski and Officials: Francis
Cardinal George, OMI, Archbishop of Chicago, will preside at a liturgy
for all who died in the airplane crash that claimed the life of Polish
President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria, and many other Polish
officials and leaders, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, at Holy Name
Cathedral, State and Superior Streets in Chicago.

Illinois Celebrated Pulaski Day at the Museum (Follow-up):
Chicago, IL - The State of Illinois official Pulaski Day celebration was
once again held at the Polish Museum of America (PMA). The Great Hall
was filled with a full capacity crowd who came to honor the great
American Revolutionary War hero, General Casimir Pulaski.

PRCUA Golf Tournament: The 2010 PRCUA National Golf Tournament
will be hosted by St. Michael Soc. #78 in Muskegon, MI on July 10th at
Chase Hammond Golf Club, 2454 Putnam Rd in Muskegon; shotgun start at
8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Golfers and guests can
stay at the Shoreline Inn & Suites, 750 Terrace Point Blvd in Muskegon;
rate for one bed (king or queen) is $109 and for 2 beds (queen) is $119,
which includes a continental breakfast. Reservations can be made by

assistance in completing their 2010 Census questionnaire.

Establish a Scholarship with PRCUA Education Fund, Inc.: At this time of year, college-age
students are looking for scholarships. With the escalating cost of
tuition there are an ever-increasing number who apply to the PRCUA for
aid. Like many fraternals, Polish Roman Catholic Union of America knows
the importance of assisting students in attaining a higher education.
PRCUA urges everyon to: "Support our youth by supporting the PRCUA
Education Fund, Inc."

PRCUA State of the Union from Wallace M. Ozog, National President:
This is my 12th consecutive State of the Union message to our members
and it is one of the most difficult reports presented. This report is a
reflection of the economic condition of our nation, as well as the
world. No longer can we, as individuals or as an organization, be
isolated from the actions of our leaders, either in Washington or

Cinderella – Prince Charming Ball: The M. Konopnicka Adult
Culture Group of the PRCUA held its annual Cinderella-Prince Charming
Ball at the Lexington House in Hickory Hills, IL, on November 21, 2009.
This elegant event has been a time honored tradition for over 38 years,
and this year brought the presentation of 42 Candidates and the
attendance of over 500 guests.

Establishes a Haiti Relief Fund: A 7.0 magnitude earthquake
ripped Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. This quake caused much
destruction and widespread casualties. This powerful quake was the first

Traditional IRA Could Now be Rolled Over into an IRA Roth:
Starting January 1, 2010, a new tax law will be in effect in which the
$100,000 adjusted gross income limit disappears for converting
Traditional Individual Retirement Accounts and employer sponsored
retirement plans to a Roth IRA.

Illinois-Indiana Women’s Division of the PRCUA held its Oplatek
Christmas get-together at Candlelight Banquets in Chicago Ridge, IL. It
was hosted by District 8 Director Krystyna Lech. Res. President Wallace
Ozog, Director Lech and Res. V.P. Anna Sokolowski warmly welcomed guests
to the holiday event.
