Funeral of our Leader Pope John
Paul II
Chicago, IL - We join the
rest of the world in experiencing severe grief on the passing of the leader
of the Roman Catholic Church. For more than twenty-six years, Pope John Paul
spoke to us in many languages and venues about our soul and our
responsibility to serve God and mankind in our universe.
He led by example, fostered
concern for all persons, and was a champion of human rights. His leadership
in preserving human dignity will be difficult to replace, however his death
should and will not prevent us from continuing to promote his example by
expressing concern for each other.
The officers of the Polish
Roman Catholic Union of America had the experience to have special audiences
with the Holy Father. An experience that is difficult to duplicate.
John Paul II’s visit on
earth was timely, as we needed his leadership. Now is the time for all of us
to pause and reflect on our purpose in life. WE ask that you pause
and reflect on your purpose in life.
May his soul and memory
live in us for many years to come.
