PRCUA: Official News Release

(Photos) Chicago, IL - On April 26, 2009, the Illinois-Indiana Women’s Division of the Fraternal Department of the PRCUA held their annual Swiecone at the Lido Banquets in Chicago, IL.

The afternoon began with a greeting and prayer by Illinois-Indiana Women’s Division President Geraldine Kowalski.

Everyone then enjoyed a delicious luncheon at tables that were brightly decorated with a Spring theme.

After lunch, dignitaries were introduced, including: PRCUA President Wallace Ozog and First Lady Joann Ozog; Resident Vice President Anna Sokolowski and her husband, Mark; Secretary-Treasurer Joyce Szarowicz and her husband, Walter; District #6 Director Sharon Haberski and her husband, Steve; District #7 Director LIllian Stempinski and her husband, Ralph; District #8 Director Krystyna Lech and her husband, Tadeusz; District 8 Director James Rustik and his wife, Barbara and daughter, Gillian; District #9 Director Elizabeth Grabowski and her husband, Konrad; Prince Charming Matthew Skrzypiec and Cinderella Natalia Paprocki; Shirley Dudzinski, Past Director of District #7, members of the M. Konopnicka Adult Culture Group and the delegates of Districts 7, 8, and 9 and guests.

Guests were entertained by the very talented musician, Mieczyslaw Dzis, who played Easter melodies and modern songs on his accordion. He is the Music Director for the Northwest Center of Polish Dancing. The Polonia Dance Ensemble, under the direction of Anna Krysinski, and Cecilia Roznowska, Artistic Director and Choreographer, gave an outstanding dance performance that was much appreciated by all. Their performance was indeed "awesome."

A raffle of many lovely prizes, donated by PRCUA members, was held. After the raffle, this traditional Easter event came to a close with a “Thank You” being extended to all who were in attendance, especially to the ladies of the Committee: Mary Jane Robles, Shirley Dudzinski, and Joyce Szarowicz.
