HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2006
54TH ANNUAL PRCUA NATIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 2006 PRCUA National
Golf Tournament was held at the Briar Leaf Golf Club in La Porte, Indiana on
July 22, 2006. The hosting society had an absolute blast putting this
tournament on and we appreciate all the great e-mails we received from other
societies. We look forward to seeing all of you at the bowling tourney in
Milwaukee, as well as, the golf tourney in Trafford next year. The #1031
society would first like to thank everyone at the home office for the help
they gave us. A big 'thank you' to all the golfers that traveled to our
wonderful town. The local businesses and the hotel were very impressed by
the turnout of our tournament. Special thanks to Jay Williams and his staff
at the golf course for everything he did for us. Finally, to our committee,
all the efforts by everyone was so appreciated, we can't begin to thank you
enough.
Here are some of the highlights from this year's tournament. We welcomed
everyone to the hotel and handed out packets with booklets about our area
and the businesses here. We had a fully stocked hospitality room, offering
free beer, snacks, and other drinks. There was a golumbki dinner at our PRCU
club on Friday. A 50/50 drawing was held, with the winners being announced
at the dance. A Cleveland Driver was also raffled; it was won by Jim Mc
Elroy from La Porte. The golf course offered golf at a great rate for
players who arrived early on Friday. Breakfast, which included coffee and
doughnuts, were made available before the morning shift teed off. Pictures
were also taken and made available for the golfers at the dance. Door awards
were given to every golfer who came to the dance that night. Eddie Korosa
and the Boys entertained everyone with genuine polka music. The winners were
announced, and they are as follows:

Sunday, there was a
breakfast at the club before everyone headed home. This was a learning
experience for us and once again, we appreciate everyone's help.
We apologize for posting
this so late. We had an unfortunate accident at our home involving a
lightning strike. We hope to see you again in the near future.
Sincerely submitted by,
Rick and Lori Lambert
