2016 PRCUA Fishing Derby

The last Sunday of Summer 2016 was well spent at the annual Fishing Derby sponsored by PRCUA District 7. A perfect, sunny day at the Busse Lake Fishing Wall in Arlington Heights, IL.

A big thank you to Mateusz Bomba, of the PRCUA Marketing Department, and his committee who helped make this event a success! Special thank you to District #7 President Walter Szarowicz, District #7 VP Stephan DeLonka and their committees for the many years of keeping this wonderful tradition and their assistance in making this year successful as well.

We hope to see everyone next year!!

The 62nd National Softball Tournament, hosted by Society #718-St. Stanislaus Kostki, will be held Friday & Saturday, August 19-20, 2016, at Woodhaven Recreation Center Baseball Field, 23101 Hall Rd, Woodhaven, MI 48183.

We will be golfing at Maple Lane Golf Club, 33203 Maple Lane Dr., Sterling Heights, MI, on Saturday, July 23,2016. Jerry Lubiarz, chairman, and Society #1368-St. Rita, are excited to host this event. Shotgun start is at 12:00p.m.

79th National PRCUA Bowling Tournament – April 8-10

Taylor, MI – 79th National PRCUA Bowling Tournament hosted by Soc. # 162
Friday, April 8, 2016 to Sunday, April 10, 2016

The 79th Annual PRCUA National Bowling Tournament will be held on April 8, 9, and 10, 2016, at the Taylor Lanes Bowling Facility in Taylor, Michigan. (Taylor Lanes is located at 24800 Eureka Road, Taylor, MI 48180.) This year’s tournament is being hosted by PRCUA Society #162, Sacred Heart of Jesus of Wyandotte, MI.

Preliminary bowling schedules and more info can be found here. The times are locked in for all on the schedule but lane assignments are subject to change.  A final schedule will be printed and available at the PRCU Lounge on Thursday evening and at the bowling facility throughout the weekend.

PRCUA’s 82nd National Basketball Tournament – March 2016!

Romulus, MI – 82nd National PRCUA Basketball Tourney hosted by Soc. #1493 Saturday, March 5, 2016

The 82nd PRCUA National Basketball Tournament, hosted by  Fr. Al’s Society #1493, will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Out-of-town players and guests will be housed at the Embassy Suites Detroit Metro Airport, 8600 Wickham Road, Romulus, MI. For reservations, please call 1-800-362-2779 by February 12, 2016 and mention code PRCUA (or just Polish Roman Catholic Union).

The tournament room rates (all rooms are 100% non-smoking) per night, plus tax are: King – $99 valid for up to two guests (each additional guest will incur a charge of $10/night – maximum occupancy for King Suite is 4 guests); Double – $109 valid for up to four guests (each additional guest will incur a charge of $10/night – maximum occupancy for Double Suite is 6 guests). A daily complimentary full breakfast cooked to order is included in the price.

The gym facilities are located at Romulus High School, 9650 S. Wayne Road, Romulus, MI 48174. Directions will be provided with a handout at the hotel.

The committee, chaired by Joseph Ozog Jr., is making final plans for this event. A hospitality get-together is scheduled to take place on Friday night, March 4, 2016 and an awards banquet is planned. Details will be forthcoming.

61st National PRCUA Softball Tournament

The 61st National Softball Tournament was held August 21-22, 2015, at Hemlock Field in Big Rapids, Michigan. Hosted by St. Rita’s Society #1368, Jason Losinski, Chairman.
A big Thank You to Jason Losinski and his Committee as well as all the volunteers and, of course, all the players ! We hope everyone had a blast!
