Marketing Associate

The Marketing Associate will support the Director of Marketing, PRCUA members and the general public by providing information, service, and promotions about life insurance and annuity products; this position will also support the Director of Marketing in conceptualization and implementation of graphic design of solutions that meet all of the PRCUA’s current marketing strategies, campaigns and other needs. This position may require a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Essential Job Functions

  • In cooperation with the Marketing Director, create and develop graphics, messages, texts, imprints for: product portfolios, product illustrations, flyers, brochures, banners, posters, handbooks, folders, promo items and any other marketing materials
  • Create and develop covers, graphics and texts for all of PRCUA’s publications and marketing booklets
  • Design and develop ads for local and national newspapers
  • Create and develop ads for events and program books
  • Assist with orders of marketing materials
  • Coordinate relationships with vendors; prepare specifications and obtain estimates for final approval
  • Create and update inventory list/catalog
  • Prepare marketing & promotional items for events, picnics, festivals throughout the year
  • Attend fraternal/promotional/ networking events, festivals, picnics when scheduled
  • Promote PRCUA through various social media platforms; generate, edit, publish and share daily social media content about all aspects of the PRCUA; manage social media conversations
  • Assist with PRCUA website content, Naród Polski content.
  • Assist in various marketing projects and campaigns throughout the year
  • Assist in research projects to support Marketing Department functions
  • Work closely with members in following up on messages and requests for service
  • Complete LOMA classes to maintain and develop professional competence in regards to PRCUA financial products and non–financial offers: life insurance, annuities and fraternal benefits

Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Assist other departments when necessary and participate in duties and functions (scanning, mailing, printing, copying, etc.)
  • Answer phone calls

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in design or desktop publishing programs – InDesign, Corel, Quark, Publisher, etc.
  • Well-versed in multiple social media platforms
  • Fluent in English writing and speech. Polish a plus!
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Able to handle multiple projects and work efficiently under pressure
  • Punctual and able to accomplish projects on time
  • Able to create original artwork within brand standard
  • Able to think independently and handle duties with assertiveness and decision-making acumen
  • Create and organize production reports using spreadsheets; prepare presentations using PowerPoint
  • Results-oriented and diligent in responsibilities and tasks given
  • Attentive to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and apply creative problem-solving skills
  • Available to work flexible hours when needed

Education/Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree and/or two to three years of industry-related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Life Insurance/Annuity license a plus. Continuing education will be required, including LOMA classes and any other prescribed courses that may result in designations such as FLMI, FIC, FICF and others.
  • Member of PRCUA with a history of involvement – a plus!
