On Saturday, August 8, 2026, hundreds of delegates from across the United States will come together for the 64th Quadrennial Convention of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America. They will discuss budgets, constitutional changes and long-range plans that will affect the future of the PRCUA. The Convention will also be charged with electing the administration and board members for the next four years. PRCUA conventions date back to the nineteenth century and to date, continue the tradition of selecting the leadership of the organization and setting our future course of action.

We are excited to announce that, for the first time in our history, this year’s Convention will be held virtually, ensuring broader, more inclusive participation and allowing over 400 delegates to take part and have their voices heard.

The dates of the convention are Saturday, August 8th to Sunday, August 9th. A detailed calendar of events will be made available soon on this page and in upcoming issues of the Naród Polski.

We encourage all eligible members to strive to become a delegate to the Convention. It is a way for your voice to be heard and for you to have a say in the future of our organization. Contact one of the officers of your society to obtain an application to be a delegate.

Convention Announcements

Proposed Elimination of the Vice President Position: In an effort to reallocate resources more effectively, reduce administrative expenses and better position PRCUA for future growth, a constitutional amendment to eliminate the position of Vice President has been proposed via Special Convention. If approved by the 2022 Convention Delegates and the Illinois Department of Insurance (DOI), the Office of Vice President will be eliminated, and no election will be held at the 2026 Convention. Any applications submitted for this position will be provisional in nature and shall remain subject to both the Delegates vote on the proposed amendment and the DOI’s acceptance of the Delegates vote. If the Delegates vote to approve the amendment and if the DOI accepts the Delegates vote, the elimination of the Office of Vice President will be deemed effective thirty (30) days after the DOI’s approval. This shall be the case even if a Vice President has been elected and commenced his/her term. If the amendment is rejected by delegates or the DOI, the normal election process will remain in effect.
