We asked PRCUA members to open their hearts and wallets to help the victims of the Ukrainian refugee crisis, and did you ever respond! 
The PRCUA and its members were major contributors to the PAC Polonia for Ukraine Fund, having added nearly $35K to the QUARTER of a MILLION dollars collected for Ukrainian refugees.
The PRCUA, as the oldest Polish American fraternal organization and one of the original members of the Polish American Congress (PAC), actively joined Polonia for Ukraine, the nation Ukrainian refugee aid action organized by the PAC. Thank you to all who opened their hearts and donated!
Donations collected have been distributed for medical needs for citizens in the Ukraine and refugee needs in Poland through the Council on Aid to Ukrainians and the Polish Red Cross.
Is there a certain time frame that you will be collecting and PRCUA is matching funds?
There is currently no end date for collection and matching.
Do you provide a receipt for tax purposes? Is this counted as a charitable contribution for tax purposes?
Unfortunately not. Although the PRCUA and PAC are fundraising for this specific cause, they are not 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and so cannot provide a receipt for tax purposes.
Is there a group from PRCUA going to Poland to help with relief efforts? If so my husband and I would like to join them. We are members, but don’t speak Polish well.
Not at this time.
We have womens coats and tops and bottoms for women we’d like to donate are you collecting clothes
The PRCUA is not collecting clothing and other items for donation, but a number of local organizations are doing so.
